CO2Lift® FAQ

Below are answers to some of the most common questions about CO2Lift®, including what to expect, results, aftercare, and how it may be incorporated into surgical and nonsurgical treatment plans.

What Does a CO2Lift Treatment Feel Like?

CO2Lift is a non-invasive and generally comfortable treatment. The carboxytherapy gel is applied directly to the skin and remains in place during the treatment.

You may notice mild sensations as the gel sits on the skin, but the treatment does not involve needles, lasers, or aggressive exfoliation when performed on its own.

How Long Does a CO2Lift Treatment Take?

The CO2Lift gel typically remains on the skin for approximately 45 minutes, although your total appointment time may vary depending on the treatment area and whether CO2Lift is being combined with another procedure.

Is There Downtime After CO2Lift?

When CO2Lift is performed as a stand-alone treatment, there is typically little to no downtime. Most patients can return to their normal activities after treatment.

If CO2Lift is being used with surgery, laser treatment, microneedling, or another procedure, your downtime will be determined by the primary procedure rather than CO2Lift itself.

When Will I See Results?

Many patients notice that their skin looks more hydrated, refreshed, and radiant following treatment.

Skin quality may continue to improve with additional treatments when CO2Lift is incorporated into an ongoing skincare plan. Results vary depending on your skin and how the treatment is being used.

How Often Should I Have CO2Lift?

The recommended frequency depends on why you’re receiving the treatment.

CO2Lift may be performed as an occasional skin-refreshing treatment, as part of a series, or at specific times before or after another aesthetic or surgical procedure.

We’ll recommend a treatment schedule based on your skin and individual goals.

Why Might CO2Lift Be Recommended Before or After Surgery?

At Rammos Plastic Surgery & MedSpa, CO2Lift may be incorporated into the care of select surgical patients to support hydration, circulation, and overall skin quality surrounding their procedure.

Depending on your surgery and individual needs, Dr. Rammos may recommend CO2Lift before or after your procedure as part of your treatment and recovery plan.

Because every surgery is different, timing should always follow the instructions provided by Dr. Rammos and our clinical team.

Can CO2Lift Be Combined With Other Treatments?

Yes. CO2Lift may be incorporated into a treatment plan with procedures such as laser treatments, microneedling, injectables, and other professional skincare treatments.

The timing will depend on the procedure being performed, so your provider will recommend when CO2Lift is most appropriate.

What Should I Do After a CO2Lift Treatment?

After a stand-alone CO2Lift treatment, you can generally return to your normal skincare routine with an emphasis on gentle skincare, hydration, and sun protection.

If CO2Lift is performed in conjunction with another aesthetic treatment or surgery, follow the specific aftercare instructions provided for that procedure.
