Avéli™ is an FDA-cleared, minimally invasive treatment designed for long-term improvement in the appearance of cellulite on the buttocks and thighs.
Unlike treatments that focus on the surface of the skin, Avéli works beneath the skin to address the fibrous bands that cause cellulite dimples. During a single in-office procedure, your provider identifies and releases the specific bands responsible for pulling the skin downward.
The result is a smoother appearance by treating cellulite at its source.
Understanding Cellulite
Cellulite appears as dimples or depressions in the skin, most commonly on the buttocks and thighs.
Beneath the skin are fibrous bands of tissue, called septa, that connect the skin to the tissue below. When certain bands become tight, they pull the skin downward and create the dimpling we recognize as cellulite.
Cellulite is extremely common and can occur regardless of body weight, fitness level, or lifestyle.
What Cellulite Isn’t
Cellulite is often confused with other concerns that can change the appearance of the thighs and buttocks.
Cellulite is different from:
- Skin laxity — loose or sagging skin
- Poor skin texture — concerns involving the surface and overall quality of the skin
- Localized fat — excess fatty tissue that changes the shape or fullness of an area
These concerns can occur along with cellulite, but they are different and may require different treatments.
How Avéli Works
Avéli treats cellulite at its source beneath the skin.
Through small entry points, your provider uses the Avéli device to locate the fibrous bands responsible for individual cellulite dimples. Once the band causing the dimple is identified, it is precisely released.
Releasing the band allows the skin to relax instead of being pulled downward, helping create a smoother, more even appearance.
A Targeted, One-Time Procedure
Avéli is designed as a single treatment rather than a series of appointments.
The procedure is performed in the office using local anesthesia, and multiple cellulite dimples can be treated during the same appointment.
Because Avéli works beneath the skin, small entry points are needed to reach and release the targeted bands.
What Avéli Treats
Avéli is specifically designed to improve the appearance of cellulite dimples on the buttocks and thighs.
It does not remove unwanted fat or primarily treat loose skin. If you have a combination of cellulite, skin laxity, or unwanted fat, your provider can help determine which treatment—or combination of treatments—is best suited to your concerns.
Long-Lasting Cellulite Improvement
Avéli is FDA-cleared for long-term reduction in the appearance of cellulite.
As swelling and bruising from the procedure resolve, the treated dimples begin to look smoother. The area will continue to settle and improve as your body heals.
Customized to Your Cellulite
Not every indentation on the thighs or buttocks is caused by cellulite, which is why an evaluation is important.
At Rammos Plastic Surgery & MedSpa, we’ll evaluate the areas that concern you, determine which dimples are appropriate for Avéli, and create a treatment plan based on your individual needs and goals.
