Chin Liposuction is a minimally invasive procedure that targets and removes excess fat under the chin and neck area, enhancing the jawline and providing a more defined facial profile. Generally, it takes about an hour and is often performed in the office under local anesthesia.
Preparing for Chin Liposuction
You should cease taking all supplements or medication that increases your risk of bleeding. Be sure to check with your doctor and stop taking them two weeks or more before the procedure.
Recovering from Chin Liposuction
You may experience swelling, bruising, and some discomfort in the treated area. Swelling can be significant, especially in the first 48 hours. You will wear a compression garment 24 hours a day for a minimum of two weeks. Pain and discomfort are usually mild to moderate and can be managed with prescribed or over-the-counter pain medication as recommended by Dr. Rammos. You will need to avoid strenuous activities for at least two weeks; and may begin after with doctors’ permission.
