CO2Lift® is a non-invasive carboxytherapy treatment designed to support skin hydration, circulation, and overall skin quality. It can be used as a stand-alone skin treatment or incorporated into a surgical or nonsurgical treatment plan.
CO2Lift uses a specialized gel that generates carbon dioxide (CO₂) directly on the skin. In response to the increased CO₂ at the treatment area, the body naturally increases local circulation and oxygen delivery to the tissue.
At Rammos Plastic Surgery & MedSpa, we use CO2Lift for patients looking to improve the appearance and hydration of their skin, as well as for select surgical patients before or after their procedure when recommended by Dr. Rammos.
How CO2Lift Works
CO2Lift uses a two-part carboxytherapy gel that is mixed immediately before application. Once combined, the gel begins generating carbon dioxide and is applied directly to the treatment area.
As CO₂ levels temporarily increase at the skin, the body responds by increasing local circulation and the release of oxygen to the tissue.
Unlike treatments that rely on resurfacing or intentionally creating controlled injury to the skin, CO2Lift provides a gentle, non-invasive approach to supporting the skin.
What CO2Lift Can Improve
CO2Lift may be recommended to help improve the appearance of:
- Dry or dehydrated skin
- Dull or tired-looking skin
- Fine lines
- Rough or uneven texture
- Overall skin radiance
- Skin that could benefit from additional hydration and support
Treatment can be customized based on your skin, concerns, and whether CO2Lift is being used on its own or as part of another treatment plan.
Hydration & Skin Quality
Healthy-looking skin isn’t only about treating wrinkles or pigmentation. Hydration, circulation, and overall skin quality also play an important role in how the skin looks and feels.
CO2Lift is designed to support these factors through carboxytherapy. Following treatment, patients may notice skin that appears more hydrated, smooth, refreshed, and radiant.
CO2Lift for Surgical Patients
At Rammos Plastic Surgery & MedSpa, CO2Lift may also be incorporated into the care of select plastic surgery patients.
Depending on the procedure and your individual treatment plan, Dr. Rammos may recommend CO2Lift before or after surgery as part of your skincare and recovery plan.
Its focus on hydration, local circulation, and overall skin quality makes it a useful option for supporting the skin surrounding the surgical experience without adding an aggressive resurfacing treatment.
The timing of CO2Lift around surgery is individualized and should always follow the recommendations provided by Dr. Rammos and our clinical team.
CO2Lift With Nonsurgical Treatments
CO2Lift may also complement other aesthetic treatments.
Depending on your skin and the procedure being performed, it may be incorporated around treatments such as:
- Laser treatments
- Microneedling
- Injectable treatments
- Other professional skincare procedures
Because every procedure affects the skin differently, the appropriate timing will be determined by your provider.
A Gentle, Non-Invasive Treatment
CO2Lift does not involve needles, lasers, or aggressive exfoliation when performed as a stand-alone treatment.
The gel is applied to the treatment area and remains on the skin for the recommended treatment time before being removed.
Because the treatment itself does not intentionally resurface the skin, there is typically minimal interruption to your normal routine when CO2Lift is performed on its own.
If CO2Lift is being used with surgery or another aesthetic procedure, your recovery and aftercare will depend primarily on that procedure.
CO2Lift Before a Special Event
CO2Lift can also be used when you’re looking for a hydrated, refreshed appearance before a special occasion.
Because it does not require aggressive resurfacing, it may be a good option for patients who want to improve hydration and radiance without scheduling a more intensive skin treatment.
If you have an upcoming event, we’ll help determine the best timing for your treatment.
Customized to Your Treatment Plan
At Rammos Plastic Surgery & MedSpa, CO2Lift isn’t limited to one type of patient or one specific purpose.
It may be recommended as a stand-alone treatment for skin hydration and radiance, incorporated into a nonsurgical aesthetic plan, or used as part of the care of select surgical patients.
We’ll determine how CO2Lift can best fit into your treatment plan based on your skin, your procedure, and your individual goals.
