Considering Avéli™? Below are answers to some of the most common questions about treatment, recovery, results, and what to expect at Rammos Plastic Surgery & MedSpa.
How Many Avéli Treatments Will I Need?
Avéli is designed as a one-time treatment rather than a series of appointments.
During your consultation, your provider will evaluate your cellulite and determine which dimples are appropriate for treatment.
How Long Do Avéli Results Last?
Avéli is FDA-cleared for long-term reduction in the appearance of cellulite. Once the bands causing the treated dimples are released, patients can enjoy smoother-looking skin and long-lasting results.
Results vary from person to person, and your skin and body will naturally continue to change over time.
Does Avéli Hurt?
Avéli is performed using local anesthesia to help keep you comfortable during the procedure.
You may feel some pressure or movement during treatment. Tenderness and soreness are common afterward as the treated areas heal.
How Long Does an Avéli Treatment Take?
Treatment time varies depending on the number and location of cellulite dimples being treated.
Your provider will evaluate the areas beforehand and discuss what you can expect during your appointment.
What Is the Downtime After Avéli?
Bruising, swelling, tenderness, and soreness are common following Avéli and can vary from person to person.
Most patients can return to many of their normal daily activities relatively quickly, but your provider will give you specific instructions about exercise and other activities while you heal.
When Will I See My Avéli Results?
You may begin to notice smoother-looking skin as the initial swelling and bruising improve.
Your results will continue to become more noticeable as the treatment area heals and settles.
What Areas Can Avéli Treat?
Avéli is designed to treat cellulite dimples on the buttocks and thighs.
During your consultation, we’ll evaluate the areas that bother you and determine which dimples are appropriate for treatment.
Does Avéli Remove Fat?
No. Avéli is not a fat-reduction treatment.
It targets the fibrous bands beneath the skin that cause cellulite dimples. If unwanted fat is also contributing to your concern, your provider can discuss other treatment options with you.
Does Avéli Tighten Loose Skin?
Avéli is not primarily a skin-tightening treatment. Its purpose is to release the bands beneath the skin that cause cellulite dimples.
If loose skin is also a concern, we can discuss treatments specifically designed to address skin laxity.
Can Cellulite Come Back After Avéli?
Avéli releases the specific bands responsible for the cellulite dimples being treated, providing long-term improvement in their appearance.
However, your skin and body can naturally change over time, and Avéli cannot prevent new cellulite from developing in other areas.
Will I Have Scars From Avéli?
Avéli requires small entry points in the skin to reach the bands beneath the surface.
These areas are very small and heal following the procedure. Your provider will give you instructions for caring for them during recovery.
Who Is a Good Candidate for Avéli?
Avéli may be a good option if you’re bothered by visible cellulite dimples on your buttocks or thighs.
Because not every indentation is true cellulite, we’ll evaluate the areas that concern you and determine whether Avéli is the right treatment for you.
